Imperfection

by {Miss} [A][L][L][I][S][O][N]   Jun 8, 2006

Let liquid regret form rivers across colorless cheeks
Take away my breath
And hear me gasping for air
Between every unheard "I'm Sorry".

Let words never meant to hurt
Form saws sharper than arrows Piercing through my heart
Slash away at newly constructed world
Leaving fortress of perfection only hate to burn in flames.

Let melted memories of perfect days form glue
Try to rekindle shattered fragments
Of the people we used to be.

Let barrels of poisoned love pour from my heart
Form ocean that stings each cut of imperfection
Hear your cries to take away the burning sting
And prove you're not so perfect.
