The World Stands Still

Every day
At sunset
It seems as if
The world stands still
There's not a ripple in the water
Not a leaf moves
The wind ceases
Everything is silent
And unmoving
For a few seconds
Time stops
To let you appreciate nature
For what it is
Some people notice it
Some don't
like a rich man
crooning over his expensive house
or a young man
admiring his new car
Some don't even bother to
admire the sunset
But some do
some people
like me
