Fantasy

You are not yet mine,
But I'm drifting once again
Thoughts float through my mind
Of just you, my friend.
This time we're on the beach
There with us, soft summer rain
Giddy with the love we share
I feel a bit insane.
Our pantlegs rolled up
Strolling hand in hand,
Looking into each others eyes
Barefoot in the sand....
It's warm and the purest white,
The sea a soft clear blue
Like the color of your eyes,
But I all I see is you.
A partial rainbow arcs through the air
A seagull soars above,
I never knew that I could sink
So far into the depths of love.
I pause to take a photograph
Of you in this mystical place
And then you kiss me softly
As my hands cup your face.
This world I've created
Is a wondrous fantasy,
A magical place I come
To dream of you and me.
