Sun

I was sitting alone, reminiscin'... thinking
What love has done in my life.
What faith could do when the ship's sinking;
Where would I go when I die.

I looked at the sun as it rises.
Wonderful with its own beauty.
The light it brings gives surprises;
The brightness conceals its secrecy.

My world without sun is nothing;
So dull, and helpless, and dark.
My life without you has no meaning.
So plain and lifeless, can feel no spark.

You are the sun in my life;
Rises_ to give color and meaning.
Brings me hope and better light.

I watched the sun as it sets;
That marked the end of the day.
