I Can Be

by Raychil   Jun 9, 2006

I can be the happy girl
Who always makes your day
The one who makes you laugh
Takes your troubles away

I can be the athlete
Who always seems to excel
In whatever sport she chooses
It'd be a miracle if she didn't do well

I can be the intelligent
Who stays quiet and studies every night
The one who focuses on school
Who always answers questions right

I can be the perfect girl
Who everyone wants to be
She is sweet and kind to everyone
Her spirit is wild and free

I can be anything I'm told
Just tell me and I'll be it
Even if its not part if me
I'll make myself believe it

I'll ignore the crystals in my eyes
I'll let myself be torn apart
Just so I can be perfect to others
I'll rip out my own heart

I think everyone can relate to this. I think everyone imagines being the perfect girl that everyone's jealous of. I know I do. I loved this poem! Especially this stanza!

Oooh, Wow. Deep. This could defintely be related to alot of lives, stereotypical meanings, and as well people trying to pretend what they are not. I loved it... and it flowed nicely. Great job!
