What happened...why is suicide an answer?

by XiAn   Jun 9, 2006

Close your eyes...
walk in any direction..
that is how i feel...blind with no destination
i rise but only to fall..
i beg for Salvation..
i cannot run away from myself..unable to escape
my white dress fading....
i'm slowly fading to black..
until.....................................
Salvation came with stories to tell
in forgiveness is right where i fell
my long cries were heard and my prayers answered.
................................................
he told me he shall not bear me with more than what i can handle..
he loves me and he lifted me..
"do not seize" He said...
......
never give up in all you do..do not think it's all hopeless...we can change the world..
the rejection and persecution is all a test..
you are u and there ain't no one else like you...
the one u has the power to change the way everythin is, the face of the earth for all ages.
why is suicide always an answer? a tower of refuge to all teen souls around the world...
we lose teens our age to suicide...what happened to the young and the brave? the precious pearls to all the parents...? the will to carry on?
most of all....WHAT HAPPENED TO US??
??...??...??...??...??...??...??...??...??...??

Wow I LOVE the message in this. Wonderful, a truly marvelous write, my dear.

"the one u has the power to change.."

Could you be trying to say "You are the one who has the power to change" or something to that effect?

I'd also try to keep away from using one letter words instead of spelling them out, like you instead of you. I don't know about anybody else, but I find it makes a huge difference. Sometimes poor grammar can distract the reader from such a powerful message, such as this one that you were trying to send out.

None-the-less, it really hit my heart. I was absolutely captivated by each word, and you're right. We are losing way too many people, mainly teenagers, to suicide. Sadly, it's a reality that we all live near to, but each year more and more are actually giving into it. It's sad that so many people are throwing their lives away. This poem inspires me to be a better person. Thanks for sharing it =)
