Planting My Sin

by Sarah Ann   Jun 9, 2006

When I was younger, I planted a seed
A thought that grew from love to greed
A picture that threw off all my light
Efforts to quit and lose this fight

And now I look back with no smile
At the words and thus decietful guile
As the seed soon watered into bloom
It grew and then campaigned my doom

Now I forget and try to walk away
So I wouldn't view sad yesterdays
But yet, my seed still grows, I see
It blooms in darkness beautifully

And water does not quiver the thirst
In all aspects it leaves me cursed
For each night it blooms into a sin
And another hatred path begins

WOW. That's all I can say. This poem was written really well. And I really liked the 2nd stanza. It stood out the most to me. And the way you ended it to was great. Keep writing!! 5/5
