Speak not Them Words

by delana   Jun 9, 2006

Speak not them words "i love you"
Words her younger self wish she more heard
And presently knows not what to do
Them words that do sting
That to her heart a sad song sing
Yes when she was younger
Them words she did have a hunger
But without declarations of love she has become too accustomed
And when hearing "I love you"
She cannot bring herself to trust them
Them words that no matter how sincere the speaker
It has not the power to convince
Too far gone is she for him to reach her
And in sorrow she does wince
Knowing without him she will make herself do
No matter the potential of good he has of her life making
A tendency of her own heart she has more of breaking.

Like this piece, havent read your other pieces but liked this one a lot, gets your fear across very well, why you are so shy... but had to read it twice to get the flow of it, maybe it was not meant to be that flowing thats the only constructive criticism i can think of, keep it up :-)
