Too old to remember

by Lexi Lou   Jun 10, 2006

As we take a look at one another
something we haven't done in awhile
I want to prove all I've accomplished
instead of being lost in denial

I work hard to make you believe that
I have everything I need
That I'm better then you are
And without your presence I'm a better person indeed

Our eyes are as empty as they've ever been
We're just as lonely as before
The only difference I can sense
We don't know what to believe any more

So many stories intermingled
So many fabrications and lies
So we both are set to hate each other
Forgetting the wheres and the whys

The accusations laid against you
Are enough to keep me away
But theres one question that surfaces
Did I make a mistake?
