Insanity

Insanity's my plea
When I get this way
Exhausted from keeping
The heartache at bay

My minds on vacation
I think its checked out
No need for reservations
The vacancy signs out

My heart it feels so twisted
Like a knife has pierced it deep
The pain does subside
When im sound asleep

I awaken to a new chance
To experience life as I should
But when my torments have taken over
I feel as though im misunderstood

I pray but there must be a barrier
Because the messages aren't getting thru
So I fall to my knees in surrender
And finally I subdue

My dreams are like my escape
That's where I find some rest
Trying to find happiness
Inside my dreamy quest
