Smile

A smile contains beauty,
it has a distinguished look
a smile comes from the heart
it's not something you can learn in a book.

everoyone owns one
but not all can see
the smile isn't always perfect
some things just can't be

smiles tell a story
they say once upon a time
but yours tell something different,
does it recite a rhyme?

or maybe it's adventurous
it could contain pirates and dinosours
or maybe it could be scary
about some ugly monsters.

it's just when you smile,
it looks like you have to try
smiling's supose to be easy
but your smile has died

is it something haunting?
or just something on your mind?
does it eat away at you?
have you been like this a long time?

so please just tell me,
what's behind your smile
some hold beauty and grace,
but yours holds denial
