Ode to Nonconformist "Freaks"

by Madeline   Jun 11, 2006

I wish I could hop in a spaceship
And get out of this god forsaken place
Fly away from the conformity
The death, and the heartbreak

Get away fromm the pressure
The pressure of "cool"
The pressure of school
The pressure of what other want you to be

They tell you things like
"This is where you need to shop"
"This is how you need to act"
"This is what you need to say"

You ask me what I want to breakfast
I don't know
Maybe I won't have breakfast
Maybe I'll become an anorexic

Because isn't that what everyone does
They want ot be like the
Skinny people on TV
They think that's how they have to be

Well I'm breaking free
I don't wanna be a part of that
I'm living up to what they say
But in a different way

This is the ode to the nonconformist
The special
The different
The way-more-interesting

The one's who march out of time
To their own drum
The nonconformist "freaks"
