Once, no more friends

by Robert   Jun 11, 2006

Captured below invisible layers,
Swimming alone through chilled water,
I find it hard to remember the good,
I try to reminisce the memories
Of past, and at the same time,
Forget the chains that I'm tangled up in,
Looking to the future is my only hope,
But there is nothing to be given,
And nothing to be taken.

Death lies before me like youth,
You've aged my soul,
But my body left behind in waiting,
Screaming out for renovation.
We were once friends,
I through it all away
For one wishful moment
That never has been and never will,
Where do we go from here?

We talk no longer,
The time is here,
The time to not be seen,
Time to recover and hide,
Hide from you,
From you I need to,
Because without it,
I might just lose myself
In the depths of self mindedness.
