Who is He

We know the story
of a son who came
to die our death
to take our sin with him

but who is he
what does his name
mean to you
is it just another name

does his name send shivers
up your spine
and bring joy to your heart
is this what his name means

or is he just
another chacter in another story
in one big book
a name among many

who is he
does he live with you
is it his word
on your heart

do you sin
again and again
knowing that no matter what
he'll forgive you

do you love your enemy
like your best friend
do you pray for them
equally because of him

does his name mean salvation
a name of hope
a name of peace
a name for things to come

is he your best friend
closer then a brother
more intimate than a lover
sweeter than a mother

or is he just another name
one of the millions
we have heard in our lives
one with no meaning at all

is it for him you change
is it for him you'll live
is it for him you choose
to persevere through things

who is he to you
to me he is my everything
but who is he to you
is he just another name

for him i will live my life
for him i will persevere
for him i will sing and
for him i live

who is he to you
just another name?

*Jesus says the greatest comandments are love your God and love your neighbor as thy self. Love YOUR God, he is yours own your faith. Secondly love your neighbor, love your enemy too not just the people you want to love, and secondly remember to love yourself its easier to look in the mirror and say i'm not pretty enough, but does that matter to Christ?!? NO!!! We have to love ourselves too.*
