The Secret's Out

by Vic   Jun 12, 2006

This secret I've kept
For the longest time.
Since revealed through words,
Now I express in rhyme.
I've lied to everyone,
All the people I loved.
This affair wasn't fool-proof
Eventually be discovered.
Now that I'm free,
From the weight of my guilt.
I have to touch ground
From the tower I've built.
I start it now,
To the Loved that are reading.
Sorry for the deceit
And the constant misleading.
Though hurt you are
Please hold me no grudge.
Tricks may have been dealt,
But don't quickly judge.
Let out the truth now,
Lest my conscience kills me.
If uneasy you feel...
It's best you forget about me...
