NUMB

by Olivia Browning   Jun 12, 2006

NUMB TO IT ALL
NUMB TO THIS LIFE
WISHING IT WERE AS EASY
AS PICKING UP THE KNIFE
CUT AWAY THE PAIN
AND WATCH THE BLOOD FLOW FREE
LET ALL THE PAIN AND AGONY
FLOW FREELY AWAY FROM ME
I WISH I COULD BE STRONG
AND NOT BE AFRAID
OF WHAT PEOPLE THINK OF ME
WHEN I PICK UP THE BLADE
BUT NOW ITS NOT A HABIT
ITS NOT IN MY BLOOD
I NO LONGER REACH FOR SOMETHING SHARP
WHEN MY EYES BEGIN TO FLOOD
YOU MAY SAY ITS GOOD
FOR ME TO BE THIS NUMB
BUT THE NEXT THING YOU KNOW
I'LL BE REACHING FOR A GUN
