These emotions are so surreal.
Could we ever have been together?
Let's lift this burden as if it were a feather.
Let's lay down the foundations for life,
Because I can't go on with this strife.
All you do though is undermine me.
Friendship crumbled, turned to debris.
Apart from all of this,
I will never forget the initial bliss
Of when I thought about you.
I have to let go of everything I knew,
Start afresh and in the new year
We could meet again, and steer
Us to a new friendship I hope.
