The Big Black Cloud

by Mousie   Jun 12, 2006

It follows me this week
Through the halls
Through my life.
Blocks my path
I can't get through.
Not again!
Go away, don't come back!
I want to get to the other side.
I see the light
I hear the laughter.
I'll push it out of the way,
Step through;
Soon anyways.
That big black cloud
Drowns me in rain,
But soon the Sun comes out,
The rain dries up,
And the big black cloud drifts away.

i'm sure we've all had those days/weeks where it feels like a huge black cloud is over top of you and you just can't seem to get it to go away... everyone around you is laughing and having a good time, and you feel like they're in a whole other world... i hate those days... this was also written during those 2 months (surprise surprise!)

I love abstract-style poetry. I think it reads better and doesn't feel as forced as most rhyme-for-the-sake-of-rhyming poetry. This is a great example of that. :)
