The Wall

So near that I can touch you
So close that I can say
But this invisible wall
Prevents me
Expressing how I feel this way

Crisscrossed within the barrier
Lay reasons left unsaid
Although you may be alone
My thoughts are only in my head

The trickling time continues
Yet still I am stopped
I cannot break it
But I know
Soon someway I will

Flowing liquid soothes
And washes away those walls
But was this really wise?
Now I wont think at all

Spouting out comes tales
Feelings never spoken
Oh the dreaded alcohol
The barrier lay crushed and broken

But this has not yet happened
And I do not know if it will
So help me please and tell me
Because I miss you still
