Slipped Away

by PygmyPuff   Jun 12, 2006

Sunglasses hide tear stained cheeks,
Impressions in our hearts last for weeks.
Memories recreated, rediscovered.
Never to be slipped away.
Refrain:
So soon your life was stole away,
So quickly gone without a trace.
Out of sight, out of life,
A shadow overtaking a rapid pace

So short your time here on earth was spent,
So quickly you slipped away.
Out of reach, out of grasp.
But in our hearts to stay.

Mascara runs, eyes close quickly.
Guys pretend they just dont care.
Stressful shouts, Over reactions.
Crying leaves your pale cheeks bare.

Anger strikes, anxiety lingers
Pain within, so deep it hurts.
Staring eyes, hurtful lies
As we watched him slip away

So soon your life was stole away,
So quickly gone without a trace.
Out of sight, out of life,
A shadow overtaking a rapid pace.

So short your time here on earth was spent,
So quickly you slipped away.
Out of reach, out of grasp.
But in our hearts to stay.

So soon your life was stole away,
So quickly gone without a trace.
Out of sight, out of life,
A shadow overtaking a rapid pace.
