One Wish

If I had but one wish
I wouldn't wish for a delicious dish.
Or, tempting as they may be,
I wouldn't wish for jewelry.
I do not want a dozen cars
or every drink from all the bars.
I wouldn't wish for wishes more
or fancy clothes from a store.
There's one thing I want most
if I should get it I will not boast.
But if not I shall be blue
all I want is a hug from you.
