Unconditional Love

by Holly   Jun 13, 2006

You don't see the pain you inflict on me. I hide it behind a silly smile or a laugh and just let it go and let you think I don't care that you just called me that...

You think you're better than me, and maybe you're right, but I have feelings too and you're breaking me in two. You're suppose to love me with unconditional love so why do you say such hateful words to me?

You call me lazy and think I am crazy, but deep down do you see the scars you've given me? I use to cut into myself to see if I could feel, but was only shown blood nothing more...

I used to be scared to end up alone, but now I see, I have been all along. You never loved me, you never will, I'm not a star athlete or the smart kid. I'm not the prettiest thing you've ever seen and I write crap. You tell me to be happy when my tears fall but you don't even see me...and maybe that's the saddest thing of all...

You're my family and you're suppose to love me...but I guess you didn't see that I'm falling apart...or maybe you do and just don't care...all I know is unconditional love is only in fairy tales...
