Who I Am

by Asha   Jun 13, 2006

Mixed up in a crazy world that never stops its spinning
Yielding to the crossroads to examine where I'm heading

Not only must I thrive in this world
Assistance to other's thriving is imperative
My world's future rests not solemnly in my hands
Everyone plays a role in what this world will come to

Impatience may overtake me at times
Such desire, I have, to keep making so kind of progress

Although I haven't great muscles
Strength surges through me in other forms
Handling the situations given to me, good or bad
And using them to assist me on my path through life

Knowing that down times are unavoidable
Improvising my plans when mistakes or surprises occur
Noticing the feedback resulting from my choices
And realizing that negative feedback does not always indicate a wrong
Motivating myself to express who I am instead of who peer wish me to be
Opening as many doors as I can to broaden my experiences
Seeking to some day understand exactly who I am
Hoping to learn to truly accept whoever that person may be
I am me, and I hope to never change for anyone but me
