The break of dawn to light the sky
The world awakes to a new day nigh.
The summer breeze to heat the air
Take my hand, I'll lead you there.

The earth and the sky, the winds and the rains
The drought, the flood and the open plains.
The cities and the farms of industrial refine;
This country I live in, this country of mine.

The past and the present to haunt and shape,
A wild adventure to risk and take.
Every creature in its own life and form;
Every culture is in the norm.

The pollution and chaos the violence and hate,
That shapes a nation of long debate.
Of moral and practical life in decline;
This country I live in, this country of mine

What's right and wrong makes a mess,
No one can decide what's to come next.
With taxes high and life in slum
With needs to reach and a price to sum.

With those earning millions and those bankrupt,
With life on the edge of a western world corrupt.
This life I live is right on the line;
This country I live in, this country of mine.

    Very grabbing first stanza. The first two lines of the second stanza is amazing. Very good ending.
