A Response From Grace

Dear Mommy, it's okay.
I know you didn't know
at that point in time
how your life would go.

You didn't know you'd need me
to keep yourself standing strong,
and that without my existence,
yours may seem all wrong.

I'm the responsibility
you didn't know you were ready for
and now, you see
and you'd give anything for.

You were right! I was alive,
and now, I'm here with God.
I've been to and seen places
on which only the holiest have trod.

I cried when I read your letter.
Neither can I wait to see your face.
I guess I'll see you around!
