What There Is To Lose

by MaryEllen   Jun 14, 2006

Sally ponders everyday
Does he love me? What would he say?

She's liked him ever since she laid eyes on him that first day
That wonderful sunny day out on the range

She wants to tell him how she feels
How she cares for him so much, it's just unreal

His big blues eyes, his dirty blonde hair
His powerful swing that sends the ball flying through the air

He's stuck in her head, he won't come out
She loves talking to him every night, there is no doubt

Sally wants to tell him but what should she say?
Boy I've liked you ever since the first day?

But what happens when she spills the truth
And he doesn't care because he doesn't feel the same way about her too?

Losing is what she fears, it's the biggest part
Losing his friendship, but most importantly...her heart.
