The Fallen 2

by Semmie   Jun 14, 2006

Many a time we look upon some who we believe to be angels

sent down from heaven to make our passings a little easier

to make it so that our own lives have some meaning

some of us have no belief in god, or a higher power, yet people believe in angels

some believe they are here because they were cast out of heaven, others believe that they are here for us, a shoulder to cry on

so we choose our people, the people we believe are angels and we look up to them, making them high and mighty, at least in some small way, or in our own minds, but as we look up to them

we never want to see them fall, never want to imagine that they might need a shoulder to cry on themselves, because we believe it is only human to cry, and therefore, we do not let ourselves into the darker sides of them

but at what cost do we do this?

on the outside although high and mighty, they are haunted, haunted by dreams, dreams of pain and torture, but then their haunted dreams haunt the thoughts of the next day, disturbing the way they think, tainting what they do

but if they are angels, they would not have these problems, unless they had been changed on their decent from heaven into hell

the hell we call reality, so then, we have no angels

they are but the fallen, trying to make their way back to where they belong.
