Barbie in The Window

by -Ѕнэ đιεđ ѕсѓεάміηĝ-   Jun 14, 2006

I keep having this memory
a reoccuring dream
my arms are filled with self-inflicted injuries
but my unhappiness is unseen

I look into a shop window
this young blonde girl I can see
staring at a window
she’s surrounded in misery

She has piercing blue eyes
the picture perfect girl
beneath the fake dreams and smiles
she’s hiding from the world

Her sleves are pulled down carfully
So that no-one will ever know
That deap beaneath the image
She has hit her all time low

Her parents think she’s perfect
Because she never ever frowns
but beneath her fake emotions
In an ocean of blood she drowns

I recognize this girl
I see her in my dreams
she’s always in my darkest thoughts
she’s so close to me It seems

But then I looked in the mirror
I was horrified at what I could see
the girl who was once picture perfect
was staring back at me
