What I have to say

You say that you are here for me and that you really care,
you say I can always talk to you, to escape from my nightmares.

So how come when I go to you, you don't want me there?
How can you then turn round and tell me that you care?

I can't be something you just pick up when you have some time to spare, something to make you feel good and feel like you've been there.

I can't depend on you. I cant depend on me,
but of one thing I'm always certain my blade will set me free.

free from all the feelings trapped inside my head, free for a matter of seconds from wishing I was dead.

who knew that when she stuck the knife in she'd teach me what to do?
and all those people round me? well i guess they never knew.

just how she made me suffer and wish that i was dead. till only thoughts of cutting crowded in around my head.

i know that you don't understand and really thats OK,
but just don't pretend to care,
is all i really have to say.

but it will be alright i might even stop one day.
who knows what the future holds or what we'll have to pay.
but until then I know I'm safe cos my blade sets me free. and with my blade in my right hand i can be who i want to be.
