Surfing through life

by Ryan   Jun 15, 2006

With my feet absorbing the water,
I sit waiting for the waves to falter,
Watching the waves break, thinking,
As I paddle for the the wave that is mine,
My life is gone from my mind.

The beautiful sky looms over me,
I catch the wave, my mind is free,
I stand up, my mind taken,
Then in my moment of triumph,
My feet slip, and into the water I go

The sky that once was is gone from me,
Enveloped into the terrifying ocean, I was no longer free,
My arms raced to save my life,
And as if my brain were struck by a knife,
I let go of my life.

Oh, it was such a pretty poem.
    Peaceful, but sad and calm.

    The ending was very abrupt.
It was a very well written poem,
    The ending just surprised me.
