After She's Gone

After she's gone
After the tears have all but dried
It doesn't feel like long
It doesn't feel like long...since she died

After they found her dead
After they found her gone from here
Found her bleeding, found her in bed
They found her with a single tear

After, no one could stop and cry
It took forever to let the pain through
It felt like we where the ones to die
How could this happen? Is it true?

After her goodbye suicide
After she made those cuts
She left us a letter with al the tears she cried
And then she was gone, no time for buts...

After, this is after
We are crowded around her grave
She is still waiting for the tears of her mother
But they never come, mother is way too brave

After this beautiful life was taken
Long after we could stop the tears
Our lives are left shaken
All our wailing, the neighbours can hear

After she took that blade
After she screamed, after she cried
All her pain began to fade
And then, she had died

This is after her death
This is after she had died
This is after her last breath
This is after she had cried

Single file, the tears fall
Single file, we approach her casket
Single file, are the candles in the hall
All her pain is gone, they had masked it

"Niquee, I'm scared"
She said one day, long ago
"God has a plan," I say. "No one is spared"
"When it's my time, will I know?"

After those words had disappeared
After she had said goodbye, after she left
I think that's the time I had feared
That a beautiful life will be theft

After she's gone, long time passed
The girls meet up, all of them broken
Without her, we never did last
Without her, we have barely spoken

After her disappearing act
After the end of her life
There nothing left, there's nothing to distract
Nothing left of her but the honourable knife

After she had died
After my words started to reappear
Long after her blood had dried
This pain started to sear
