Life's Distant Path

by GretaInsideOut   Jun 16, 2006

Curious ears call,
The beckoning path of life,
Awaiting it's mystery to unfold.
Unfold like a gentle breeze,
Slowing down my mind,
Take me back,
To the times secluded from memory recall.

Slowly overcoming challenges set,
Ruin ready to prevail,
Walking further and further towards what will be the end.
The pages of our life blowing silently amongst others.
Does this mean we will always be surrounded by these people?
Dare we be alone?

As you face the end of this distant place,
Ask yourself,
Have I done what I have needed to be done to be at peace with myself?
Think to your now weary mind,
Have I contented myself?

Step by step,
Strive for not time's loss,
But for the culmination of your destiny,
True being lies there,
At the end of life's distant path.

Search yourself, nobody else.
