The Best Assistance

The vague feeling of loneliness creeps.
It deepens ever more, as it slowly seeps.
Deeper, quicker as all is lost,
Everything moving away to a poorer cost.

The past haunts the present
As the future is held so dear,
They speak in different tongue,
Wondering what language you would like to hear.

They try to hide the feelings with in,
Showing so much kindness to your face,
But when they are alone,
Every other emotions are so easily shown.

You notice no change in the moods at all,
Until their inner caring begins to fall.
Their eye’s become lifeless and their hearts become cold,
They pull away from their comfort zones thinking nothing can be controlled.

You have to understand though,
That they don’t want to let go.
It is hard for them to see…
That they really mean so much to you and me.

In the past I felt this feeling of isolation,
But I understand now that it’s okay.
You have to be you,
And that is always the most wonderful thing you can do.

They knew nothing else but this pain,
They thought it would all end in vain,
But what they need is us,
To let them know it is okay to trust.
