Unceasing Tears

by Obscure Misfit   Jun 17, 2006

Every night I go to bed,
My face wet from all the tears,
Tears that had slid down my face like the sun in the sky does every evening,
Slowing sinking into an invisible place,
Just like my tears,
Falling to my pillow where they disappear into the already damp surface,
All of the never ceasing salty drops,
I drift off with my face still moist from the previous hours,
Glad to be sleeping but regretting the day to come,
Not wanting to sleep and have to wake up to a new challenge,
A new day,
Just wanting to sleep in the blackness forever,
But the next day always comes,
And the sun that had slid down the sky the night before has risen,
Marking the time for my misery to start all over again,
To renew and revive itself,
The agony never ends,
Because like my tears that never stop falling,
The sun never stops rising.
