Distant sound

A distant sound of angels faintly now I hear,
Sweet music from another world, it seems so
far, yet near. Such melody I've never heard,
it soothes my every fear. A distant sound with
in the night as heaven lingers near.

A distant sound of angels, a song born
in the night, as cold dark shadows linger
near, and I escape from life. Beyond the
realm of time and space, in the twinkling of
an eye. Transported to another land, beyond
our mortal sight.

A distant sound of angels, a welcome sound
to me. Alas, I get so weary now, perhaps
I'll fly away? Carried through celestial
realms, unto eternal day. A distant song
within the night, perhaps to welcome me.
