Child inside a beast

by skye   Jun 18, 2006

A man of a thousand smiles
so graceful in his glide
once so curious and innocent
but his ego drove him wild

his sweet caress turned bitter
his lonely voyage fur filled again
as his spirit for thirst grew
and so the journey began

the beast awake to cause havoc
his innocence prevailed from within
his words turned old and sour
and every action wrote a sin

were did you go , the one i loved
did he leave this blastered place
run from his demons and pain
that were written upon his face

is he still within the beast
yearning to be set free
roam this earth satisfied
in a relationship just with me

no i don't think he is
i have run out of faith and trust
don't even care about what you do
i now know my love was simple lust
