I stood on the mountain top In all my glory Until the day you came And took a hold of me You gently took my hand And started down Never looking back At my broken crown. I thought you'd lost your mind When we stepped into the dark Thought I knew best But I was missing the mark Cause you're teaching me How to trust in you Showing me through this What's right and true. That all your ways Are above the line Your thoughts and plans Are above all mine. I trembled and shook As everything fell All my possessions And things I knew well. But still you walked on Always pressed on No matter how slow This cause you will champion I thought you misunderstood When I gave you my all I wanted to live But you won't let me fall Cause you're teaching me There's always more More to what life seems Then to be rich or poor Cause you're showing me Your beauty and grace Building my desire To see your face And I understand why You took me aside Taught me what's right Humbled my pride And now on your Promise I stand Believing in you And the scars in your hand
