If Everyone Cared

by Avrii Monrielle   Jun 18, 2006

If Everyone Cared

If everyone cared, they would notice me
Sitting on this empty sidewalk

If everyone cared, they might give me food
To soothe my empty stomach

If everyone, or anyone cared
They could read my messy cardboard sign

If anyone at all cared
Their family would be mine

If everyone in the world cared
About people like me

If everyone and anyone did
Everyone like me would probably be seen

If everyone on earth cared, I wouldn't be
Holding a cardboard sign

I would be so rich, because
The whole world would be mine

Thanks for entering my competition i said i would comment on the poem everyone entered so here is. . .
i loved the last 2 lines and also the varied repetition (does that make sense?) well how you repeated the line but changed it each time, that was very effective, the flow was a tiny bit off in one or two points but otherwise great poem
