Some people have dads and step dads
Fortunately, I have something better
I have someone to be there through thick and thin
Even through good and bad weather

I have someone that will always cheer me on
No matter how hopeless I think things seem
I have someone who's determination and love
Happens when I'm awake and deep in dreams

I have someone who is never mad
Except in teaching me a life lesson
But even then he still shows love
That goes without question

I have someone to always talk to
And someone to share in my success
Success that he helped me win
And I hope he knows that hes the best

I have someone who's helped me so much
That words cant even say thank you
Someone who's love and understanding got me far
And brought me to places I never knew

I have someone very special
Someone that will always love me
And while everyone else has a dad
I'm privileged to say I have a Pappy

And though it may seem I take things for granted
Let me tell you, thats not true
Cause people who are selfish don't care
But I do...I love you
