The Weather Outside

It's raining outside
while i sit in my room
listening to love songs
& thinking of him

the weather outside
reminds me of cake
the earth being the base
the rain being sprinkles
the lightening being decoration
the thunder being the sound of a satisfying tummy

the weather outside
reminds me of sadness
the rain being tears
from the big gray clouds
the thunder being anger
the lightening being confusion
the oceans being puddles from the crystal water-drops that have fallen from your cheek

the weather outside
reminds me of love
couples kissing under umbrellas
the rain saying tomorrows a new start
the rainbow after saying to always be happy and bright
the thunder and lightening acting as fireworks

the weather outside
reminds me of him
the boy who stole my heart
and promised not to tear it apart
the rain being the tears i cried on his shoulder
the thunder being his anger
the lightening being his flashing handsome eyes
the coldness reminding me of times
of us sitting in this weather together
always cuddling with each other
so we'd stay warm and always be lovers

now it's still raining outside
I'm still sitting in my room
still listening to love songs
now wondering how long this will last
