Quite Surreal

by Nathan   Jun 18, 2006

Quite surreal, and full of surprise
in them I've seen, my own demise.
"Oh how quaint" some may shout,
their ignorance doth make me doubt!
Humanity is lost to me,
if they not see what gems these be!
Have they not seen their depth and lore?
What's meant to me... is so much more!

Enthralling, are these forbidden gems
cant be real, ... then are they lies?
NO! These are mine emblems!
Deceit from them doth not rise!

Divine as the moon resting on an emerald lake;
Their beauty unattained, forbidden to take.
Their surface alight, as if in a fight...
Leaving me gasping "is this right?"
Of course it is, I am assured,
what's mute is seen silly, not heard!

...tis the dance of the moon beam,
their surface alight!
As if this unknown is but a dream,
it comes my way this very night
Finally proving... as times before
beauty of this kind can never be forged!

Oh my claim to forbidden love,
doth plea to the celestial heavens above.
But their embrace doth reaffir'
that this is right, of that I'm sure!
Absolving me from these lies,
in haunted dreams they save my cries;
and come they do, piercing the night,
saving the "day", ensuring all's right.

They twinkle as the stars above,
Inspiring all, to live by love!
It is this fact, to my surprise,
That is sure to steal, my hard earned prize!
I worked so hard to try and hide,
what they have found and rescued... from my pride.

...if what was seen before
comes to be...
Then I fear not, what's at my door.
My demise is naught to me,
That ray of hope is all I need.
For when it comes, as I foresee
I will rise from the ashes of my dead creed
no longer solo, shall I be!

Canst thou hear? Heaven cries...
They make me feel a need to derive,
where I've been... oh how wise!
They bring that peace, for which I strive
so unreal... are her beautiful eyes!
