Hey beautiful,

This poem was so personal and so sad. It takes a lot of courage to write about experiences that mean something to you or that have impacted your life. This story sounds all too familiar and that makes me sad. I used to find ways of "drowning" away my pain and went through similar circumstances so I can feel for what he is going through. Now I also have to watch as my ex. acts all tough, but really is breaking inside and like your "he" is turning to alcohol to wash it all away. I hope we can both find ways to make our endings happier, but if not keep trying because in the end that is all you can do. Nice poem.

WOW i love it its realy good i and know how you feel my bf drinks but only with his friends and he doesnt drive. but i told him how i felt and that it scared me that icould loosde him and after we taked he really cut back a lot he still drinks but hes more responsible with it now. and he smokes cigars but hes tring to quit for me. talk to your brother tell him how his dricking makes you feel.

Your poem had great speed to it. I like the way it seemed to speed up as it went on. I followed the mood as he continues to speed up his drinking and problems continue to amount. Your poem has really captured your feelings on this. Alcoholism is a disease and it is very destructive. Been there, done that and don't want to see it again.

Rly goood and emotional

This poem is so powerful...it's ashame...so many can relate to this. Doesn't have to be a bottle - any addiction. I read it and I can feel. It's an emotional piece of harsh reality. I pray he gets better and you stay strong through it all. Beautiful write....nicely done!! Take care...
