Dying to Love

Looking through the black cascade,
hoping that the pain will fade.
Drowning in all my tears,
trying to escape my fears.
Swimming in a pool of red,
falling deeper until I'm dead.
Cutting deeper through the vein,
crying all because the pain.
Escaping from the thoughts in my head,
lying because of what you said.
Bleeding because you don't care,
needing to be loved despite the scars I wear.
Smiling hurts more than you know,
dying to love; doesn't it show?
