Shredded Heart

The sadness draws closer everyday
Dark clouds constantly above him
Days go by in a haze
Never truly realizing what is happening to him
The man's spirit is broken
A great sorrow such as never before
Slowly dying
Slowly driving
Staring into the empty space ahead
Lights go by blinding him
Tears rolls down his cheeks constantly
When he wakes
When he sleeps
Finding retribution in alcohol and nicotine
Plummeting down to the depths of hell
He misses her so...
The secretive eyes of misery
The seductive smile of a temptress
The soft skin of her cheeks
The gentle touch of her fingers
A lump again grows in his throat
On the day of love there shall be none for him
The romantic plans he had, disintegrated
He realizes his mistakes and he weeps
For having realized it, he knew he was wrong
The seeds of jealousy planted in his mind
He should have known
For a thousand years he searched
In vain
He found her one night
And she shared in his pain
Months went by and felt like eternity
Then he faulted and scattered the reality
Weeks went by and felt like a thousand eternities
Tears rolled down and filled great lakes
A million thoughts went through his mind
Always asking why
And in the final week before the day of love
He knew...
He knew that he wronged her
He knew he gave her pain
He knew he should have trusted
He knew he could not let her go
The Knight of days forgotten would fight once more
A battle with himself
A battle to claim back what was lost
And if he fails...
He could never live without The Angel of Light
