My scars

by Allison   Jun 20, 2006

My scars are not like others.
They are not self-inflected
Not just on the surface.
Mine run deeper than that.
Not just lines running up and down
arms and legs.
or on hips and stomach.
They criss cross the soul.
They wrap around my neck.
They cover my breasts.
but you cannot see these scars.
They have touched my heart.
Where you threw in on the floor.
Cut up by your words.
I never loved you! you told me
I wish you could see me now,
my scars are fading
and I still love life
You did not kill my heart because scars can fade and bruises heal,
But just remember memories never fade.
I will never forget the pain you cause
But my scars are beautiful.
I forgive you.
