The selfish act is wearing thin

Just because i don't agree with you
doesn't mean i don't support you
just because you believe your right
doesn't mean that you are

I'm the child remember that
your my mother, the parent
your supposed to help me
but I'm stuck here helping you

you've stormed out the house
because you think we don't care
but mum all i do is care
Ive been there for you always

I'm there holding your hand
when i cant even help myself
when i cry myself to sleep at night
i still get up and help u out of bed

because I'm your daughter
and my love for you is strong
but just stop and look out for me
try and be the parent and help me

this selfish act is getting old
and I'm losing patients
id do anything to protect you
from my depression , protect me
