Why I need Poetry.

My mind is filled with lies,
I need to clear my head,
I want to forget it all,
But without being dead.

This is why I need it,
I hear how I feel,
Yet not in my voice,
And it sounds so real.

It helps clear my mind,
It helps me know what I think,
Without this little thing,
My whole life and heart would sink.

I tell myself what I feel,
Yet not directly to me,
It's not in my voice,
Yet it's about me I can see.

Poetry, this is why I need it,
It helps me think and clears my mind,
It let's ME know what I'm feeling,
Yes, even this time.
