Can't Won't

by TJ Bake   Feb 23, 2004

You've moved on
But I cannot
You've found another
But I'd rather not

You're the one
We both know it's true
I've given reasons
Why I only want you

I don't know how
You could do this to me
You know what I feel
You know we're meant to be

I wish that I could take a kneel
And ask you're hand in marriage
But we are both too young
To take on that kind of carriage

I guess all I can do
Is sit and watch you walk
So far away from me
That we never talk

Baby I hope you're happy
With the choice you've made
Cuz all the memories we had
Will soon start to fade

Very nice poem. Straight to the point message.
I like that in a poem, you said so much with so little. The rhyming was great too.

This poem is sad and you make the point clear. I can really relate to the topic. I like the beggining of the poem!
