False Love

by Crossiance   Jun 21, 2006

My smile acts as a mask to hide the pain,
Fighting to keep out your knowing glare.
The black is my shield of sorrowful chance
Trying to tune out the vicious stares...

The blood running deep, forever taunts me,
And my vision of you fades to black,
For antagonizing is your soft touch,
That points to the qualities I lack.

Your words break deeper into my soul,
And plant false emotion into me.
The bloody scars are unrepairable,
And my soul now screams to be set free.

My love for you is inevitable,
Though in time I will grow to regret.
And your beauty--So undeniable,
That your face I will never forget.

Though, still you are the one my soul longs for,
And it is for you my heart yearns..
With a painful realization, I know
That my love can never be returned. . .

I absolutely love this poem. The rhymes and descriptions are impecable. The emotions aren't just words on paper... they're real.

    Good job... Keep it up!
