Tangerine Sky

by Kim   Jun 21, 2006

Sweet scented lilacs tumble
From the rose-tinted wind
Dancing with lavender on the ground

Your soft precious hand in mine
As my soul is captured by the laughter of your eyes,
The eternal bond you radiate,

Several white petals have fallen
On your chestnut hair, and
Like fingers on a willow harp
My hands play with your tresses

We drink silver wine from crystal goblets
Awaiting our departure from this world
Where our love is crumpled
And painted black
Labeled disgusting with a permanent marker

Simply because the form that houses your soul
Is of the same make as my own

But now we depart,
To walk openly hand in hand
Under a tangerine sky

P.S. The question mark (a.k.a. ?) After the last line of the highlighted stanza in my comment was actually supposed to be a quotation mark (")
